Hi, I'm Alex!
I'm currently 19 years old and I am working on my externship for
school at the Westchester
until September 2016. In the fall I will be
starting my sophomore year at
The Culinary Institute of America
in Hyde Park, New York. I
will be graduating in May of 2017 with my Associates Degree in
Baking and Pastry. Afterwards I plan to continue my education by
obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Culinary Science. I want to end
up doing research and development on different kinds of foods.
With this kind of degree I will not only be able to work in
kitchens and bakeries, I will get to work in different kinds of
laboratories throughout the country.
One day I hope to travel extensively to learn about other
cultures and see how baking techniques vary in different
countries around the world. This will help me to possibly create
better baked goods by emphasizing the scientific perspective for
nutition and quality in the baking and desert industries.
